This letter is in response to a letter dated March 1, 2019 and site plan with a revision date of February 28, 2019,
received from George Wood of Environmental Professionals, Inc. on March 4, 2019, in which it was requested
that Major Permit # 92-16 be modified to replace the existing t98'x4' pier/walkway, damaged by Tropical Storm
Michael, with a t98'x6' pier/walkway.
Major Permit # 92.16 was issued to Andrew & Lisa Wright, on September 12, 2016 and modified on March 13,
2018. This Permit, its modifications and renewals are for a 36'x36' double lift boathouse and platform docking
facility.
The project is located at 251 N. Dogwood Trail, Southern Shores, Dare County, adjacent to the Currituck Sound.
Your modification request as described and/or depicted in the submittal received March 4, 2019 as noted above,
is hereby authorized as a refinement to CAMA Major permit # 92-16. All existing conditions remain in effect,
including the expiration date of December 31, 2019. No expansions to the platform or boathouse are authorized
under this refinement. This letter is provided to you as a record of the authorization, and should be included with
the Permit file.
You may need to obtain a building permit from the Town of Southern Shores.

Dear Mr. Renaldi,
This letter is with reference to CAMA Major Development Permit 092-16 - Andrew and Lisa Wright.
Attached you will find a plat which modifies the existing four -foot wide access pier to six feet in width.
The expansion of two feet is proposed to be to the north of the existing pie. This will restth in the teas[
amount of area encompassing coastal wetlands being covered by the expansion.
The modification request is made pursuant to T I5A NCAC 07J.0405 et. seq. and is consistent with those
guidelines. As indicated in your email comspooden ce of February 28, 2019, this r quest will be processed
as a refinement to the permit.
