Ta ra,
Looks like the project does not require a state stormwater because it does not trigger any of the items Linda listed. So I
can issue the permit under a CAMA Minor permit. The pool is approximately 110' from the 1n line of vegetation. Our
stormwater director has looked at the proposed project and has accepted their stormwater plan as submitted. Do you
see anything I may have missed?

We issued an exemption from stormwater permitting in 1999 to repair the damaged pier under SW8
991137. A stormwater permit would only be needed if the project requires a CAMA Major permit, or if
it disturbs >1 acre of land, or if more than 10000 sf of new BUA will be built. These are all
independent triggers — if any one of them is true, it will require a stormwater permit.

Hi Linda,
This property is located at 1407 E Beach Drive in Oak Island and curently does not have a major development permit
under CAMA. I have scanned in a survey that shows a proposed pool expansion which will convert a landscaped area
into impervious concrete. The expansion results in the increase of 504 sq. ft. of impervious area. The Town of Oak Island
is trying to figure out how this can be permitted. Would stormwater be a requirement?
Thanks!
