Hey Justin I wanted to talk to you about a project I have in Hubert NC regarding a property that is currently over the
USACE set back line. The property owner was hoping that he could build out with another structure to where adjacent
property owners have structure. His new development would be out to the furthest extent along the same shoreline. I
wanted to reach out to you to make see if there was no issue or if you had any objections, and I will let him
know. Attached is the proposal of the development. He is looking to extend out 8' waterward of the existing platform
area.

I discussed it with the Chief of Waterway Management, Todd Horton, and he would be agreeable to allowing the boat
lift but it could not extend any closer than the dock that is already there. Basically we will allow the lift as long as it
doesn't go any further channelward than the current dock.
