This is with reference to your request received on November 17, 2016 to modify State
Permit #58-16 on behalf of Nancy Gerald, for her property at 13 Bahama Drive, Wrightsville
Beach. State Permit #58-16 was issued to you on June 6, 2016 for the replacement of an
existing private docking facility with a new private docking facility within Banks Channel. State
Permit #58-16 is due to expire on December 31, 2019.
The action proposed in your submittal is to allow for the modification of the original 14' in
length and 12' in width fixed uncovered platform to 16' in length and 12' in width.
Upon reviewing the information provided, the Division of Coastal Management has
determined that the proposed action is consistent with existing State rules and regulations and
is in keeping with the original purpose and intent of the permit. This Letter of Refinement
authorizes the modification of State Permit #58-16 as described in your letter dated November
15, 2016. Please note this refinement does not alleviate the need to obtain any other local, state
or federal permits.
