After making a site inspection on June 17, 2016 I have determined that the activity you propose is exempt from needing a minor development permit as long as it remains consistent with your site drawing submitted on June 17, 2016 and it also meets the conditions specified below. If you plans should change and your project will no longer meet these conditions, please contact me before proceeding. SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES WITHIN THE ESTUARINE SHORELINE AREA OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN EXEMPTED 1. All development shall be located at least 40 feet of the mean high water mark or normal water level from waters classified as ORW. 2. No ground disturbance or land disturbing activity shall occur within 40 feet of the mean high water mark or normal water level. 3. The development may not exceed a 25% built upon area within 575 feet of the mean high water mark or normal water level of waters., and shall not include any stormwater collection system. (Proposed drawings show house/development @2890 sq ft) 4. The development shall be consistent with all other applicable CAMA permit standards, North Carolina Building Code standards, local ordinances and local land use plans in effect at the time the exemption is granted. 5. This SFR Exemption does not allow for the placement of any fill. 6. Water loading values used are thone assnrJated with the base flood. Wind loading values used are those required by the applicable state or local buiiding code. The potential for scour and erosion at the foundation has been anticipated for conditions associated with the base flood, including wave action. SECTION IV - BRFAKAWAY WALL CERTIFICATION STATEMENT Note: This section must be completed by a registered engineer or architect when breakaway waft exceed a design safe loading resistance of 20 pounds per square foot. I certify that I have developed or reviewed the structural design, plans, and specifications for construction and that the design and methods of construction to be used forthe breakaway walls are in accordance with accepted standards for practice for meeting the following provisions; (Note construction has not begun) a. Breakaway wall collapse shall result from a water bad less then that which would occur during the base flood; and b.
