Following isa recent photo of the dock: I do not wish to expand the dock and the existing surface area.will be maintained. Issues to be addressed include the following: 1. Replace pilings: The existing pilings are rotting as a result of inadequate chemical treatment; one piling has already failed and others show signs of deterioration (see attached photo) 2. Replace some deck boards in floating dock and in walkway: A few deck boards are broken and/or warped and are unsafe and need to be replaced with new, treated lumber 3. Replace portions of hand rails: A few of the 2'X 4 pieces of lumber in the handrails leading down to the floating dock are in need of repair and possible replacement Island Contracting will do this work and a few changes are requested: • Replace 4 existing 8 inch square pilings with longer lasting round pilings • Replace the two square piling holes within the floating dock with metal and ceramic rings that will be attached to the side of the floating dock similar to the metal rings that are presently used to anchor the ends of the dock (see attached photo) • Cover the existing piling holes in the surface of the floating dock with deck boards . 1 _ .s c..7 r•f i '{ ,QFi-ts' "LLY iw tr i a" •i yes(" V_ si t" Yf '> / t oy1t i All, •{ [+R :,`t .,+1nV•-,t+{+n.
