Atlanta St Zack, Further to our conversation this afternoon, we would like to eliminate a drainage issue in our driveway behind 17 E. Atlanta. This driveway also services 19 E. Atlanta. We own both of these houses, and we own the driveway. There is a catch basin in the middle of the driveway (see diagram) which is clogged with sand, and no practical way to prevent future clogging. We propose to remove a section of the concrete measuring approximately 15' x 15' surrounding the existing catch basin. We will excavate in that 15' x 15' area approximately 3' deep around the existing catch basin, which will remain. We will then line the excavated hole with filter cloth, fill with stone, and cover with filter cloth. This will serve as a storm water infiltration system. We will then pour a 4" concrete slab over the repaired area. There is an additional 13' W x 9' L section of driveway which abuts Atlanta Street behind 15 E. Atlanta. We also own this part of the driveway. This section is cracked and buckled. There are TOWB water and sewer lines running beneath this section. We propose to remove and replace the cracked and buckled concrete. I spoke with Jonathan Babin ofTOWB Public Works who visited the site. He gave the go ahead from his standpoint, and said that he would have someone mark where the water and sewer lines run. He also gave the OK to form a ridge where the driveway abuts Atlanta Street which will divert run- off water to the east end of the street rather than flowing down our driveway. We are requesting a CAMA exemption for this project. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks regards, Jim Busby P" CEIVED DCM WILMINGTON, NC FEB 1 7 2016 1
