This letter of refinement is in reference to the 8/26/16 request by Mr. Alan Bailey, for a refinement of
Major CAMA Permit No. 56-16 issued to,you on May 18, 2016. The request is to delete the previously
permitted fingers and boatlift for slip #3 (west side) and to add a Y x 24' finger pier to the east, between
the existing floating platform and boatlift for slip # 2. All other permitted portions would remain in the
previously permitted footprint. This development is hereby authorized as requested. All permit
conditions including the December 31, 2019 expiration date still apply and remain unchanged as well as
the following specific conditions:
• All development shall be completed as shown on drawing dated received by DCM on 8/16/16.

Please find enclosed a request from Mr. Alan Bailey, dated received by DCM on August 16, 2016, to
refine the existing CAMA permit. This permit, #56-15, was issued on 5/18/16 and is set to expire on
12/31/19. The permit authorized an expanded docking facility with 3 slips.
The applicant is proposing to void the previously permitted fingers and boatlift to the west (slip #3 area
per drawing) and will keep the area as a wet -slip. They are also proposing a new 3' x 24' finger pier to
the east between the existing outer floating platform and slip #2 boatlift. If the proposed development
is constructed as shown on the drawing dated received 8/12/16, then the proposal is consistent with the
specific guidelines found in 15A NCAC 07H.0208. This district recommends the refinement be authorized
as proposed, contingent all original conditions apply.
