This letter is in response to correspondence received from Troy Murphy, of Quible and Associates, dated
June 21, 2017. On your behalf, Mr. Murphy has submitted a request for a letter of refinement to Major
Permit #15-17 to modify the location of the 100-foot fishing pier. The dimensions of the proposed pier
will remain the same as permitted, with the only change being the placement of the pier further east
along the shoreline of the property (reference CAMA Plan for Douglas A. and Sharon C. Twiddy dated
revised 6/20/17).
For the record, Major Permit #15-17 was issued to Doug Twiddy on January 30, 2017. The project is
located adjacent to the Kitty Hawk Bay, at 3805 Elijah Baum road in Kitty Hawk, Dare County.
Your modification request as described and/or depicted in the submittal dated June 21, 2017, is hereby
authorized as a refinement to CAMA Major permit #15-17. All existing conditions remain in effect,
including the expiration date of December 31, 2020. This letter is provided to you as a record of the
authorization, and should be included with the Permit file.
You may need to obtain a building permit from the Town of Kitty Hawk.

The purpose of this correspondence is to request a letter of refinement to Major Permit 15-17 for
Mr. Doug Twiddy's property located at 3805 Elijah Baum Rd in Kitty Hawk. As depicted on the
plan that has been submitted to your attention, Mr. Twiddy proposes to move the location of the
100' fishing pier that was permitted. The proposed pier will remain the same dimensions as
permitted, Mr. Twiddy only wishes to move the placement of the pier further east along the
shoreline of the property.
