To Whom It May Concern:
I have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your inquiry concerning the necessary filing of
an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. After making a site
inspection on 10/09/2009,1 have determined that the activity you propose is exempt from needing a minor
development permit as long as it remains consistent with your site drawing and materials list submitted on
01 /08/2009, and meets the conditions specified below. If your plans should change and your project will no longer
meet these conditions, please contact me before proceeding.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR - (G.& 113-103 (5) (B) (5) and 7K. 0209) - Structures may be repaired in a similar
manner, size and location as the original structure. No expansions or additions are permissible. The repairs are
limited to 50% of the physical value of the existing structure and the following specific conditions.
1. Remove deck surface down to bare juice ands add advantek & hydrostop water proofing with 42"
handrails.
2. The proposed repairs shall be consistent with all other applicable local ordinances and North Carolina
Building Code standards.
3. No changes shall be made to the building footprint.
This exemption to CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of your obtaining any other
State, Federal or Local authorization and N.C. Building Permits. This exemption expires 90 days from the date
of the letter.

The undersigned Seller hereby sells and the undersigned Purchaser(s) hereby purchases. If one or more of them, jointly and
severally, the below described goods and services for the price and upon terms and conditions set forth herein.
JOB NAME: "The Breakers"
Demo: Remove existing flashing at deck on edges, perform waterproofing, plywood and 1 x 6 sub -floor.
Take down back to bare 2 x 8 or 2 x 10 joists. Cut 5 %" up wall areas of front and rear decks (12' x 121/
6' x 12' approximately). Remove handrails and any knee -wall (Panels, Required for Waterproofing).
Deck and Rails: Apply Paper Advantek plywood to deck joist. Apply Hydro -stop in a 3 part system.
Color is Desert Sand. Supply and install Handrails with treated wood (See Drawing). Paint Handrails
(priced at $ 250 per unit (Added)*. Apply 1 x 6 fiber compressed vinyl (synthetic board) with PVC
flashing between existing T-111 at deck. Remove all job related debris.
