and Natural Resources and the Coe stal Resources Commission for development
In an area of environment concern pursuant to Section 113A-118 of the
General Statutes, "Coastal Area Management'
Issued to Forrest Cranfill, authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEC) at 4433 Devane Road, in Shallotte,
NC , as requested in the permittee's application, dated 09-Sep-09. This permit, issued on 01-Oct-09, is subject to
compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and
special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject pernittee to a fine, imprisonment
or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
This permit authorizes: Single Family Residence/Decking Around Pool
(1) All proposed development and associated construct on must be done in accordance with the permitted work plat
drawings(s) dated received on 14-Sep-09.
(2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Cale requirements and all other local, State and Federal regulations,
applicable local ordinances and FEMA Float Regulations.
(3) Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evaluation and
modification of this permit.
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 910.253.2034 for a final inspection at
completion of work.

This permit action may be appealed by the pernittee or other qualified perso is
within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. From the dale of an appeal, aiy
work conducted under this permit must cease until the appeal is resolved. ibis
permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when t re
project is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or project
modification not covered under this permit, require further written per tit
approval. All work must cease when this permit expires on:

In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consistent with the local La id

another party without the written approval of the Division of Coastal
Management.

(5) The amount of impervious surface shall not exceed 3016 of the lot area within 75 feet of Normal Hiigh Water
(Estuarine Shoreline Area of Environmental Concern), n this case,1,018square feet is authorized.
(6) Unless specifically allowed in 15A NCAC 07H. 0209(d);10), and shown on the permitted plan drawing, all
developmenUconstruction shall be located a distance cf 30 feet landward of Normal High Water. No portion of the
roof overhang shall encroach into the 30 ft. buffer.
(7) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated gading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective
sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing activities, a barrier line of filter cloth must
be installed between the land disturbing activity and thti adjacent marsh or water areas, until such time as the area
has been properly stabilized with a vegetative cover.
(8) Any proposed for grading within the 30' buffer from the Normal High Water must be contoured to prevent additional
storrnwater runoff to the adjacent marsh. This area shall be immediately vegetatively stabilized, and must remain in
a vegetated state.
(9) All other disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) within 14 days of construction
completion.

Dear Mr. Cranfill:
The enclosed permit constitutes authorization under the Coastal Area Management Act for you to proceed with your
project proposal. Please sign both the original (buff -colored form) and the "white copy". Return the copy to this office
in the enclosed envelope. Signing the permit and proceeding means you have waived your right of appeal described
below. Please retain the original (buff -colored form), as it must be available on site when the project is inspected for
compliance.
If you object to the permit or any of the conditions, you may request a hearing pursuant to NCGS 113A-121.1 or 113-
229. Your petition for a hearing must be filed in accordance with NCGS Chapter 150E with the Office of
Administrative Hearings, 6714 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27611-6714, (919) 733-2698 within twenty (20)
days of this decision on your permit. You should also be aware that if another qualified party submits a valid
objection to the issuance of this permit within twenty (20) days, the matter must be resolved prior to work initiation.
The,Coastal Resources Commission makes the final decision on any appeal.
The project plan is subject to those conditions appearing on the permit form. Otherwise, all work must be carried out
in accordance with your application. Modifications, time extensions, and future maintenance require additional
approval. Please read your permit carefully prior to starting work and review all project plans, as approved. If you are
having the work done by a contractor, it is to your benefit to be sure that he fully understands all permit requirements.
From time to time, staff will visit the site to monitor the project. However, if questions arise concerning permit
conditions, environmental safeguards, or problem areas, you may contact Connie Marlowe at any time for assistance

This.letter shall serve as notice of the Immediate Revocation of the Authorization
to Construct Permit and the Improvement Permit for BCHD#: 06/67218 issued
3121/06. The only change in the Improvement Permit is that now the repair area
will be a type A peat system. Authorization to Construct is now changed because
of the location of the bed system and repair area. Please feel free to call with any
questions.
You have the right to file an appeal with the Office of Administrative Hearings. If
you wish to file an appeal, you may do so by submitting a Petition for a Contested
Case with the Office of Administrative Hearing, 6714 Mail Services,

Pursuant to NCGS 113A-119(b), Brunswick County, a locality authorized to issue
CAMA permits in areas of environmental concern, hereby gives NOTICE that on
14-Sep-09 Forrest Cranfill applied for a CAMA minor development permit to
construct a Single Family Residence/Decking Around Pool at 4433 Devane Road
SW, in Shallotte NC 28470. The application may be inspected at the address
below. Public comments received by 30-Sep-09 will be considered. Later
comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision.
Project modifications may occur based on further review and comments. Notice of
the permit decision in this matter will be provided upon written request.
