Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application and permit conditions. Any violation of these terms may
subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for
compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that: 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this
permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the
local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement from the adjacent riparian property owner(s)
has been obtained, or proof of delivery of certified mail notification of the adjacent riparian property owner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

I stopped by her address this morning, but she was out. I spoke with the neighbor on the other side and they
offered to give Ms. Clark a note when she returned. So I left for her a letter, a copy of the permit drawing, and a copy of
her previously signed notification form. I also left my contact information and card asking her to call me. So hopefully
she will reach out to me and I can speak with her about her concerns. I will keep you posted over the next few days.

I have gone through my permit queue and below is a status update on all the permits that I have in line for D&B
Bulkheads:
Steven & Kimberly Logan —103 Tyrell Court, Colington — Bulkhead & Platform
• Objection has been resolved and in line for completion next week (by Thursday at the latest).
John & Mildred Wash —110 King Edward Court, Colington — Docking Facility
• I need either a signed form or a returned green card verifying notification of Susie McIntosh -Hinson at 108 King
Edward Court.
Roger & Joan Stanus — 803 Harbour View Drive, Colington — Docking Facility
• As you know, the project as currently proposed requires waivers from both adjacent property owners. The form
from Ms. Clark was signed as "waived", but she also indicated that an objection exists. Without any additional
contact information provided, I have been unable to resolve the objection at this time. So my plan to help
move this permit forward is to stop by Ms. Clark's house on Tuesday (May3lst) and hopefully speak with her
directly. At the very least, hopefully I can leave my card or a letter asking her to please contact me. If this
attempt still doesn't work, then I will get further guidance on how to proceed.
Mark & Candace Adams — 350 Soundview Drive, Colington — Docking Facility
• I need either a signed form or returned green card verifying notification of Edward & Diana Hall at 346
Soundview Drive.
Franklin Shelby & Paula Szabados —105 Princess Court, Colington — Replacement Bulkhead
I conducted the site inspection of this location last week, and I don't have any concerns at this time. You and I
have both spoken with Mr. Schaefer in regards to his questions and concerns. So I will reach out to him on
Tuesday via email and see if his object has been resolved or if I can answer any additional questions.
The permit fee for this location is $400 and feel free to send a check for that amount in at your convenience.
Thomas & Catherine Jolly — 242 Sunrise Crossing Drive, Colington — Walkway, Docking Facility, & Osprey Pole
• We have previously discussed the challenges that we are facing with this permit and I have on my schedule to
meet with Brandon on Thursday, June 2"d at 10 am for depth and canal width measurements. Please let me
know the best place to meet and/or if these plans have changed.
• I am continuing to address the issue of the channel that appears to be owned by Dare County.
Other than Sharon Richmond, which I already updated you on, those are the permits that I have on my desk for you.
