To Whom It May Concern:
I have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your inquiry concerning the necessary filing of
an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. After making a site
inspection on 7/30/2009, I have determined that the activity you propose is exempt from needing a minor
development permit as long as it remains consistent with your site drawing and materials list submitted on
07/13/2009, and meets the conditions specified below. If your plans should change and your project will no longer
meet these conditions, please contact me before proceeding.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR - (G.S. 113-103(5)(B)(5) and 71C0109) - Structures may be repaired in a similar
manner, size and location as the original structure. No expansions or additions are permissible. The repairs are
limited to 50% of the physical value of the existing structure and the following specific conditions.
1. Reroof a single-family dwelling with GAF timberline, shakewood, HD, 30yr;architectural shingles over
30# felt with 1 ''/s' nails, single 6 to the shingle.
2. The proposed repairs shall be consistent with all other applicable local ordinances and North Carolina
Building Code standards.
3. No changes shall be made to the building footprint.
This exemption to CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of your obtaining any other
State, Federal or Local authorization and N.C. Building Permits. This exemption expires 90 days from the date
of the letter.

We will still need the drawings and/or materials lists for EX 09-13 and 15. 1 cannot pay you for these, but we still need

Jeremy: I have attached your Exemptions report so you can check on the hi -lighted ones. 1 haven't received
copies of EX09-10, 13, 16, or 24. As long as 1 get them before the Oct. 15th deadline / can reimburse. l can
accept scanned copies if that is easier.
And, as far as sending the signed cc for Permit 09-03, go ahead and send me the copy with your signature.
You can send the
signed -by -applicant copy later. I can reimburse as long as I have either copy on time.
