The address is 510 South Broad Street. Construction Narrative The Town of Edenton currently has a 10-slip boat dock that is used by and open to public. The current state of the dock is becoming a safety hazard. This boat dock was built approximately 30 years ago and needs to be removed and replaced. We would remove the current dock, finger piers, and piles in its entirety and replace it with all new construction. The new structure would be a mirror image of what is currently in place. There would be no change in size, elevation, or in the number boat slips. No excavation would be required for the new dock. Most of the worked would be completed off a crane barge, with a pile driving rig and small floats. There are many dependent activities that would benefit from the new dock. This dock would provide a safe public access to the short-term mooring that is in jeopardy due to the current state of the old dock.
