REGAN BRAXTON DAVIS inmmor This letter of refinement is in reference to the 11/13/2017 correspondence email with attachments from you as authorized agent for Town of Swansboro [herein described as "The Town"], requesting a modification of Major CAMA Permit No. 112-05 issued to the Town on 09/06/2005. Permit No. 112-05 was modified in August 2017 to include construction of a pier access, gazebo and dock platform to replace the previously existing pier access and platform on Town property located at Bicentennial Park on the White Oak River in Swansboro, Onslow County, North Carolina. Your request as authorized agent for the Town to enlarge the previously approved pier access to 18' x 22' and the pier platform to 23' x 77' on workplans stamped "RECEIVED" dated 11/13/2017 is hereby authorized. The permit has been modified several times to further extend the Dock Walk and make other improvements to Bicentennial Park. It was most recently modified in August 2017 to include construction of a pedestrian/fishing pier to replace a previously existing pier at Bicentennial Park. The Town is requesting authorization to slightly increase the platform sizes of the recently permitted pier and associated gazebo. No dimension will be increased more than two feet, as shown on the enclosed drawing. In order to protect public safety and welfare the pier must be constructed of decking that is engineered to ADA and building code standards. The small increase in size of the structure will allow the Town to use standard sizes of appropriately engineered pre -cast concrete decking and avoid the additional cost of custom sections. The increase in size will not place the structure within the established channel. A hydrographic survey showing the channel and associated aerial photograph are also enclosed. The survey and photograph were both prepared by Lanier Surveying Company as part of a previous permit request. Thank you for your assistance. Please let me know if you have questions or need additional information. The agent letter authorizing me to represent the Town in this matter is enclosed. Best Regards, Kathy B.
