The decision is based on my findings that your request violates NCGS 113A-120(8) which requires that all applications be denied which are inconsistent with CAMA guidelines. You have applied to construct a single family residence which is inconsistent with 15A NCAC 7H.0102 (f) which states that: ... while individuals undertaking "major development" activities [defined in G.S. 113A-1 18(d)(1)] will seek permits directly from the CRC. G.S. 113A-118(d)(1) states: A " major development" is any development which requires permission, licensing, approval, certification or authorization in any form from the Environmental Management Commission, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Department of Administration, the NC Mining Commission, the NC Pesticides Board, the NC Sedimentation Control Board or any federal agency or authority. A State Storm Water Permit (SW8 000710) was issued for your lot on August 18, 2000, which now requires that you obtain a major permit for the proposed project. Should you wish to appeal my decision to the Coastal Resource Commission or request a variance from that group, please contact me so I can provide you with the proper forms and any other information you may require.
