This letter of refinement is in reference to your 2/21/2022 request for a modification of Major CAMA
Permit No. 9-22 issued to you on 2/11/2022. The request is remove the finger design proposed on the
original submittal and place new fingers as existed previously along slips 1 and 2. This development is
hereby authorized as requested. All permit conditions including the December 31, 2025 expiration date
still apply and remain unchanged as well as the following specific conditions:
• All work must be completed as shown on plat dated received via email by DCM on 2/21/2022

RE: Refinement of State Permit #9-22, Owen Andrews (c/o Andre Webb)

Please find enclosed a request from Mr. Andre Webb dell Engineers, dated received via email by DCM
on 2/21/2022, to refine the existing CAMA permit. This permit, #9-22, was issued on 2/11/22 and is set
to expire on 12/31/25. The permit authorized docking facility expansion.
The applicant is proposing to remove the old finger attached to the bulkhead and replace fingers along
slip two as it existed previously. If the proposed development is constructed as shown on the drawing
dated received 2/21/2022, then the proposal is consistent with the specific guidelines found in 15A
NCAC 071-1.0208. This district recommends the refinement be authorized as proposed, contingent all
original conditions apply and the following specific conditions.
• All work must be completed as shown on plat dated received by DCM via email on 2/21/2022

Owen Andrews Major Permit New Finger Pier Design Request
To Heather Styron:
I would like to request a change to the design on the major permit for Owen Andrews
located at 543 North Kinston Avenue in Atlantic Beach, NC. Previous review on the finger dock
that came off of the seawall caused me to decide to just remove it. I would like to request
a new design where the finger dock doesn't come off of the seawall but comes off of the main
dock in front of the boat and down the side of the boat in slip #2 creating a "V birth" design.
I have updated the drawing and attached it with this letter. Thanks for you help on this matter.
