REGAN Secmiao, BRAXTON DAVIS Director This letter of refinement is in reference to your 6/29/17 request for a refinement of Major CAMA Permit No. 74-17 issued to you on June 9, 2017. The request is to add a 150' to 175' timber retaining wall landward of the coastal wetlands and near the new #9 golf hole tee box along the Newport River. This development is hereby authorized as requested. All permit conditions including the December 31, 2020 expiration date still apply and remain unchanged as well as the following specific conditions: • All development shall be completed as shown on drawing dated received by DCM on 6/29/17. • DCM shall stake the retaining wall alignment before construction begins. REGAN Secmmry BRAXTON DAVIS Direclor June 29, 2017 Please find enclosed a request from Mr. John Wade with Arendell Engineers, dated received by DCM on June 29, 2017, to refine the existing CAMA permit. This permit, #74-17, was issued on 6/9/17 and is set to expire on 12/31/20. The permit authorized golf course and facilities development. The applicant is proposing to install a 150' to 175' timber retaining wall landward of coastal wetlands near the new #9 golf hole tee box along Newport River. If the proposed development is constructed as shown on the drawing dated received 6/29/17, then the proposal is consistent with the specific guidelines found in 15A NCAC 07H.0208. Morehead City Country Club Golf Course and Facilities Development CAMA Permit #74-17 Letter of Refinement Request Morehead City, Carteret County, North Carolina Dear Ms. Styron: On behalf of Morehead City Country Club, we respectfully request a Letter of Refinement to incorporate the installation of approximately 150 to 175 linear feet of timber retaining wall landward of the coastal wetlands near the new #9 golf hole tee box along Newport River. Attached are revised sheets 05 & 07 from the original CAMA Major Permit submittal showing the approximate location of the retaining wall and elevation. Your office will be contacted to stake the alignment of the wall prior to construction. Thank you for your help on this project.
