concern pursuant to Section 113A•118 of the General StaMas, "Coastal Area Management"
Issued to Kenneth & Susan Stuart development in the Ocean inlet Hazard (AEC) at 1319 Ocean Boulevard West in
Holden Beach NC 28462, as requested in the pennittee's application, dated received November 8, 2019. This permit,
issued on November 20, 2019 is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the
permit), all applicable regulations and special Conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may
subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
This permit authorizes: INSTALL A IN GROUND POOL WITH 1575 SQUARE FEET OF WOOD DECKING ALL
LANDWARD OF TOE OF DUNE.
(1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted work plat
drawings(s) DATED RECIVED November 8, 2019 and Survey done by Gary Guarganus signed October 31, 2019,
(2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other local, State and Federal regulations,
applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations,
(3) Any change or changes In the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evaluation and
modification of this permit
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 910.842-M for a foal Inspection at

(�) 1 ne structure must set back a minimum of 60 feet tram the fast line of stable natural vegetation, a
determined by the LPO.
(6) All construction shall be done in accordance with section section 15A NCAC 07H .0309 8 0310.
(7) The permittee is required to contact the Local Permit Officer 910-842-6080, shortly before he plans to begir
construction to arrange a setback measurement that will be effective for sixty (60) days barring a major
shoreline change. Construction must begin within sixty (60) days of the determination or the measurement is
void and must be redone.
(8) All buildings constructed within the ocean hazard area shall comply with the NC Building Code, including the
Coastal and Flood Plain Construction Standards of the N. C. Budding Code, and the Local Flood Damage
Prevention Ordinance as required by the National Flood Insurance Program. If any provisions of the building
code or a flood damage prevention ordinance are inconsistent with any of the following AEC standards, the
more restrictive provision shall control.
(9) Dune disturbances will not be allowed because the dune's protective value could be weakened or reduced.
Disturbed dune areas will be immediately stabilized with vegetation.
(10) Ali construction shall meet all conditions of Town of Holden Beach Code of Ordinances.
(11) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by
effective sedimentation and erosion control measures. Disturbed areas shall be vegetatafrvely stabilized
(planted and mulched) within 14 days ofconstrucflon completion.
(12)Any structure authorized by this permit shall be relocated or dismantled when it becomes imminently
threatened by changes in shoreline conflouration. The stnu turorct ah�n �- _- :_ , .... .
However, if natural shoreline recovery or beach renourishment takes place within two years of the time the
structure becomes imminently threatened, so that the structure is no longer imminently threatened, then it
need not be relocated or dismantled at that time. This condition shall not affect the permit holder's right to
seek authorization of temporary protective measures allowed under CRC rules.
(13) The decking shall be landward of the toe of the dune as located by town of Holden Beach 10-30-2019.
(14) All construction shall be done in accordance with Town ordinance.
