County, N.C., adjacent to the Currituck Sound.
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Gajar,
This letter is in response to your objection as an adjacent riparian property owner to a permit request from D& B
Bulkheads, authorized agent acting on behalf of Douglas and Laura Davis, to construct a new 14' x 24' Boathouse, a
new 10' x 6' lower platform, and a new 12' x 14' floating jet ski platform located at 124 Brandon Court, Duck, Dare
County, N.C., adjacent to the Currituck Sound.
Under the Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA), the Coastal Resources Commission (CRC) has established Rules
for General Permits for this type of development that are found in 15A NCAC 07H.1200.
The Division of Coastal Management has reviewed your objection, along with all aspects of this development
proposal for consistency with the aforementioned Rules, which describe the CRC's standards and guidelines for this
type of development. Our review of the proposed development has found it to be consistent with the Rules of the
CRC and the State's Coastal Management Program, and that all pre -requisites have been satisfied. Therefore, the
Division of Coastal Management issued General Permit #86328A on March 29, 2022 (copy attached) for the
proposed development.
If you wish to appeal this permit decision, you must file a Third Party Hearing Request Form with the Director of the
Division of Coastal Management within 20 days of the permit issuance date. If you choose to pursue an appeal,
please contact this office so that we can provide you with the appropriate forms and addresses.

Thanks for your time today, I appreciate the help.
This letter is to formally document our objection to the proposed boathouse at 124 Brandon Court, a property
we are adjacent owners to. I am one of three owners of this adjacent property and write to you on behalf of the
others as well (Dan Gajar, and Stephanie Gajar).
We currently have this property listed for sale and feel it best to leave this decision to the eventual new owner
of the lot.
It also appears to us that their current boat house may already encroach on our lot and a future owner's ability
to build a dock themselves. Without a survey, it's hard to tell, but part of his walkway may even be on
our property. We believe the original plat puts our soundfront property at 50 feet, while the neighbor
mentioned that we have less than 20 feet. That leads me to believe that he may not know where the true
property lines lie. I am not exactly sure of this myself, but didn't want to proceed without this information.
Please let me know if there is more that you need from us, we would be happy to further discuss this.
