Please find below and attached documents for the following projects which will require a CAMA
permit. Please feel free to call me at 336.339.9055 with any questions.
Proposal for Retaining Wall Repair
RRMC will propose to furnish labor, materials and equipment to repair and install 140 linear feet of
3.1 grade vinyl seawall with one 10' wing on the eastern edge. The western edge shall tie into the
existing neighbors wall (subject to their approval.) The exact length of the wall will be determined
upon the land being cleared and the proposal will be adjusted accordingly. The scope of work will
include:
Area preparation:
The area around the seawall will be cleared of plants and shrubs for access to the area 3-5 feet in
front of the seawall. The debris will be hauled to a government run waste facility.
Seawall Repair:
The proposal is for installation of seawall comprised of 12' tall panels of 3.1 series of vinyl ribbed
wall, capped with a 2"x 12" resting on 2"x 8" horizontal beams on front and back. A row of 6"x6"
horizontal whalers are installed and galvanized tieback rods applied to secure the seawall on a 6'
center basis.
This proposal shall incorporate the replacement of approximately 19 tieback rods, consisting of 5/8"
galvanized all -thread rods and the installation of new timber "dead -men". The tieback "dead -men"
will be placed utilizing a mini -excavator hydraulic auger/vibratory hammerto place 5' long, vertically
angled 10" treated timbers. Deadmen shall be, based on soil conditions, a minimum of 10 feet, a
maximum of 14 feet, behind retaining wall. All tieback rods will be attached to the 10" upright posts
with galvanized washer, nut and 5" x 5" galvanized plate
Dock Installation:
Marine Decking Dock The proposal shall include the construction of a 40' long dock. RRMC shall
install a 40' long, 5' wide dock as shown on attachment 1. Ten (10) pilings shall be utilized to support
the pier. Once completed, decking will be installed using 2" x 6" routed edge marine grade decking.
Stainless steel screws shall be used to fasten the decking to the timbers. All hardware utilized to
install the cross members and stringers shall be stainless steel screws or galvanized timber bolts
with galvanized washers and nuts. In addition the dock installation, the below pricing also includes
the installation of 4- 10" 35' long pilings to be installed at the owners preferred location for the
future installation of a boat lift.
