This permit, issued on December 17, 2015 , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may
be subject to fines, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
1) This Renewal shall be attached to the original of Permit No. 146-01, which was transferred to the
permittee on 2/14/14, and copies of all documents shall be readily available on site when a Division
representative inspects the project for compliance.
2) All conditions and stipulations of the active permit remain in force under this renewal.
NOTE: A permit renewal application processing fee of $100 was received by DCM for this project.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or
other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing
date.
This permit must be accessible on -site to Department
personnel when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modification not covered
hereunder requires further Division approval.
All work must cease when the permit expires on
December 31, 2017
In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina agrees
that your project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

Please find enclosed a letter from Mr. Ed Mitchell, of the River Dunes Corporation, requesting a permit
extension. State Permit #146-01 was issued on November 20, 2001 for the construction of an upland
marina basin, shoreline stabilization, and subdivision adjacent to the Neuse River near Oriental, Pamlico
County. The permit expires on December 31, 2015.
The applicant is requesting to extend the permit expiration date. The applicant is unable to complete the
construction of the proposed development by the end of this year and is requesting a renewal in order to
finish the substantial development that has already begun. This request is in accordance with 15A NCAC
07J .0404(b).
The Morehead City District Staff recommends that state permit #146-01 be renewed for an additional two
years to allow for completion of the proposed work. A check in the amount of $100 (check #4149) has
been received to process the request.
