Quality and the Coastal Resources Commission for development
in an area of environment concern pursuant to Section 113A-118 of the
General Statutes, "Coastal Area Management"
Issued to Katherine Groat, authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEG) at 214 North Channel Drive, in
Wrightsville Reach, North Carolina as requested in the permiffee's application, date - d - December - 27, 2017 and accepted
as complete on January 2, 2018. This permit, issued on January 12, 2018, is subject to compliance with the application
and site drawing (where conslstent with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth
below. Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the
permit to be null and void,
THIS PERMIT AUTHORIZES. The demolition of the existing structure at 214 North Channel Drive,
(1) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other Local, State and Federal regulations, in
addition to all applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations.
(2) Any change or changes in the plans for development, construcfi-m, or land use activities Will require a re-evaluation and
modification of this permit.
(11) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. This office must be contacted_PPRqth_e completion of work to
conduct a final inspection. Please call 910-266-7937 or email to schedule a final inspection.
(4) Pursuant to 15A NICAC, Subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may not be assigned, transferred, sold or otherwise disposed of
to a third -party.

(5) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated gtading shall be retained on site by effective sedimentation
and erosion control measures. Disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) within 14
days of demolition completion.
(6) A protective barrier constructed of filter cloth must be placed between the development activities and the
adjacent waterway, this barrier must be constructed before the start of demolition and maintained for the
entire duration of the project. If the protective barrier is found to not be in place a Notice of Violation may
he issued,
(7) This permit does not authorize development within any wellands or open water areas.
(8) The applicant must contact this office upon the completion of work to schedule a time for a final

FOR DEVELOPERS IN OCEAN HAZARD AND ESTUARINE HAZARD AREAS:
I acknowledge that the land owner is aware that the proposed development is planned for an area which may be
susceptible to erosion and/or flooding. I acknowledge that the local permit officer has explained to me the particular
hazard problems associated with this lot. This explanation was accompanied by recommendations concerning stabilization
and floodproofing techniques.
PERMISSION TO ENTER ON LAND:
I furthermore certify that I am authorized to grant and do in fact grant permission to the local permit officer and his agents
to enter on the aforementioned lands in connection with evaluating information related to this permit application.
This application includes: general information (this form), a site drawing as described on the back of this application, the
ownership statement, the AEC hazard notice where necessary, a check for $100.00 made payable to the locality, and any
information as may be provided orally by the applicant. The details of the application as described by these sources are
incorporated without reference in any permit which may be issued. Deviation from these details will constitute a violation
of any permit. Any person developing in an AEC without permit is subject to civil, criminal and administrative action.
