Southern Shores, NC 27949 Dear Mr. Rascoe: NORTH CAROLINA Environmental QuaW LETTER OF REFINEMENT Permit # 11-18 February 11, 2019 RECEIVED FEB 19 2019 DCM-MHD CITY This letter is in response to a February 4, 2019 email and site plan, from Joe Anlauf of Anlauf Engineering, PLLC , in which it was requested that Major Permit # 11-18 be modified to include three s50 ftz riprap apron areas landward of normal water level. Major Permit # 11-18 was issued to the Town of Southern Shores on January 25, 2018. The project is located on Town owned property within the Yaupon Trail right-of-way, Dare County, adjacent to a man-made canal that leads to Jean Guite Creek. Your modification request as described and/or depicted in the email submittal dated February 4, 2019, is hereby authorized as a refinement to CAMA Major permit # 11-18. The attachment "Riprap Apron Locations" highlights the 3 areas. There is a bulkhead highlighted in blue with New Bulkhead written in red pointing to it which is confusing because that is the previously authorized bulkhead, so they are not asking for a new bulkhead there. Since this is entirely landward of the NWL and the bulkhead (no wetland impacts) and impacts at each location is <= 50 A I'm thinking refinement. What do you think?
