Dear Mr. Swenson:
This correspondence is with reference to our December 3, 2019 site visit and the email request submitted by
your contractor, Jess MacPherson, .to modify State Permit No. 97-16. This permit was originally issued on
August A, 2018 to reconfigure the existing docking facility, install'a new bulkhead and install new decking.
State Permit No. 97-18.is due to, expire on December 31, 2021.
The action proposed in your submittal consists of the request to extend the replacement bulkhead farther
waterward than the authorized 2 ft. The request is due to alignment issues with the adjacent bulkhead to the east.
The new wall would extend an average of 4A ft, waterward of the old wallwith a minimum of 2ft, on the western
end and a maximum of 6.8 ft. at the far eastern end (see drawing dated received 12-3-19).
Upon review of the information provided, the Division of Coastal Management has determined:that;the proposed
action continues to be consistent with existing State rules and, regulations and is: in keeping with the original
purpose and intent of the permit. I hereby submit this Letter"of Refinement authorizing the modification of State
Permit #97-18, as described in your request and drawing dated December 3, 2019. By copy of this lefter we are
notifying the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Division of Water Resources of our action. Please note this
refinement does not alleviate the need to obtain any other local, state or federal permits.

loeatiori to match -the neighbors bulkhead.. The distances are from north-W south and referenced as A,B,C and
D.:
A- plus 2. feet (originally permitted)
B= 3.6 feet
C-. 5.2 feet
D- 6.8"feet
In.summary total additional adjustment to the permit will be 4:8-feet on the southern most; end.
