This letter of refinement is in reference to your 23 March 2022 request for a modification
of Major CAMA Permit No. 57-18 issued to Michael and Vicky Pollard. CAMA Major Permit
No. 57-18 was first issued to Michael and Vicky Pollard on 14 June 2018 and renewed on February
24, 2022 for the installation of a bulkhead, pier with platform, boathouse, and PWC lift.
Your request to amend permit 57-18 to install a 4'x15' stepdown platform and. 3' x 40'
finger pier with f40ft' under the roofline of the permitted boathouse totaling an additional 140ft'
of shading impact as shown in the revised plat and cross sectional drawings dated 23 March 2022
is hereby authorized. With the additional platform added your project site will have utilized 788ft'
of the allowable 800ft'. Please note that this refinement does not allow for any increase in the
number of slips. All permit conditions still apply and remain unchanged. Your modified plat and
cross sectional drawings will become a permanent part of the file.

RE: Request for Permit Modifications to Permit 57-18
This letter is intended to request a modification to permit number 57-18, issued to Michael and
Vickie Pollard for Major Development in the Area of Environmental Concern located adjacent to
the Pamlico River at 597 Duck Creek Road Washington, NC issued on June 14, 2018 and
reinstated on February 24, 2022.
The requested refinement consists of two modifications to the pier: one is putting a 3' wide x 40'
long finger pier with 1'x40' being placed under roof as a walk around to the previously approved
boathouse; the second is a 4' x 15' step down platform adjacent to the previously approved pier.
Attached are the plan view and cross section drawings showing the finger pier and the step
down.
