inspects the project for compliance. In accepting this transfer, the new permittee agrees that all

In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina agrees that
your project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

Ms. Elizabeth B. Freeland of LMG, Inc., representing Parkside WF Investors, LLC, is requesting the
transfer of State Permit No. 23-18. State Permit No. 23-18 was issued to Susan B. Hale & Laurel B.
Brooks on March 13, 2018 for the construction of a 10-slip docking facility that included a fixed pier,
boat lifts and dredging to 4 @ MLW, located at 221 Summer Rest Road, adjacent to Greenville
Sound/AIWW, in Wilmington, New Hanover County. State Permit No. 23-18 was modified on April 12,
2019 to reduce the number of slips from ten (10) to eight (8), reduce the number of finger piers from six
(6) to four (4), reduce dredge footprint, add a wooden walkway from Summer Rest Road and add a
12'xl2' gazebo. This permit is due to expire on December 31, 2021.
This Office has no objection to the transfer of State Permit No. 23-18. Ms. Freedland has included a
check (no. 1439) in the total amount of $100.00 for the transfer fee. Please send the permit and any
correspondence to:

On March 13, 2018 NC DCM issued a LAMA Major Permit to Susan B. Hale & Laurel B. Brooks for the
construction of a 10-slip docking facility that included a fixed pier, boat lifts and dredging to -4MLW —
located at 221 Summer Rest Road, Wilmington, NC 28405 (Permit # 23.18). On April 12, 2019 a Minor
Modification was authorized. Ms. Hale & Ms. Brooks have sold the property to Parkside WF Investors,
LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. We request that a permit transfer be issued. I have
enclosed the permit transfer fee of $100, letters from both Ms.Hale & Ms.Brooks that authorizes this

To Whom It May Concern:
Through coordination with the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management, we have
learned of your request to transfer the Department of the Army (DA) permit originally issued to
Ms. Susan B. Hale and Ms. Laurel B. Brooks on March 13, 2018 to Parkside WF Investors,
LLC.. This permit, which was modified on March 14, 2019, originally authorized the
construction of ten (10) slip community docking facility situated at the southernmost edge of the
riparian corridor located at 221 Summer Rest Road, New Hanover County, North Carolina. The
requested modification was to modify the existing permit by reducing the number of slips from
ten (10) to eight (8), reduce the number of finger piers from six (6) to four (4) and change the
finger piers from fixed to floating, reduce the dredge footprint, add a wooden walkway from
Summer Rest Road to the authorized docking facility, and add a 12'x12' gazebo along the
proposed wooden walkway.
The proposal continues to be consistent with the provisions and objectives of general permit
No. 1978000291 (enclosed). The permit is hereby transferred. It is understood that all other
conditions of your permit remain applicable and the permit will expire December 31, 2021.
