THE OCEAN HAZARD AREA OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN (15A NCAC 07K .0103).
PROJECT LOCATION/ADDRESS — 2334 New River Inlet Road, Unit 1 & 2 North Topsail Beach
Dear Messrs. Panajkar,
I have reviewed the information submitted by your authorized agent to our office concerning
the redistribution of sand under and near your residence at 2334 New River Inlet Road Units 1 & 2, in
order to expose the plumbing, electrical, water and sewage for maintenance and repairs, and have
determined that the activity you propose is exempt from needing a CAMA Minor Development Permit
as long as it remains consistent with your project narrative, dated "RECEIVED DCM-Wilmington Regional
Office" April 1st and 8th, 2022, and it also meets the conditions specified below. If your plans should
change and your project will no longer meet these conditions, please contact me before proceeding.
REDISTRIBUTION OF SAND WITHIN THE OCEAN HAZARD AREA OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN
EXEMPTED
1. All redistribution shall be redistributed the sand within the ocean hazard AEC, on the property of
2334 New River Inlet Road.
2. No ground disturbance or land disturbing activity shall occur outside the areas identified on the
workplan.
5. This exemption does not allow for any development outside the scope of work in this
authorization. Any proposal to modify or alter the development plan as proposed will require
additional authorization from the Division of Coastal Management.

This exemption does not eliminate your requirements to obtain any other State, Federal or Local
authorization. Proposed work authorized by this exemption shall be completed by December 31 of the
third year of the issuance date of this exemption.

This is to confirm that we have retained Carolina Odd Jobs Inc, for providing us services
to perform maintenance work on our properties at 2334 New River Inlet Rd. This work
involves moving sand around the property to enable much needed access to utilities,
conducting maintenance and repairs to the house and provide us and vacationers safe
parking. Carolina Odd Jobs are executing the work in a thorough and professional manner.
They have been working diligently and with requisite approvals to conduct this work.
Since we are unable to attend meetings in person, we are hereby authorizing them to
represent us in meetings with local bodies and authorities to secure the necessary guidance
and go-aheads. We appreciate your time and cooperation to them in this endeavor.

Good morning,
We are emailing to confirm exemption as discussed and in previous emails, to continue moving sand from under the
homes at
2334-1 and 2334-2 New River Inlet Road in North Topsail Beach, North Carolina.
We are moving the sand to expose all of the plumbing, electrical, water and sewage for maintenance and repairs. As
there is a great amount of sand , equipment will be used as discussed previously, for moving the sand into the driveway
area, Oceanside area between the home and the sandbags directly behind both 2334-1 and 2334-2 NRIR, but not
forming a dune.
The sand will be kept on the property in the areas previously approved by CAMA and will not be removed from the
property. When the AEC - ocean hazard areas are designated by CAMA and/or NTB Beach town designation and moved
by the receiving areas, then the sand would be removed.
Please let us know if you need any other information from us so that we can continue to get this home taking care of
underneath early next week as vacation hours are coming in and there is a water leak at this current time the owners
have shut off at the meter to the entire home.
