This letter is to let you know of our permit application with the N.C. Division of Coastal
Management to install riprap beneath an existing deck that is located adjacent to our house at
2341 Old US Highway,Columbia, NC. Our property line runs along Old US 64,Columbia,on the
south side with the Little Alligator River on the west side of our property which makes us
directly across the Little Alligator River from the DOT landing. The purpose of the riprap is to
stabilize about 40 feet of shoreline beneath an existing deck. Attached is a drawing of the area
with the proposed riprap location marked in red.
If you have objections,you should contact the N.C.Division of Coastal Management at 252-
946-6481. In the mean time I would appreciate your signing and returning the attached form.
The 15 foot setback waiver does not apply in this case. In the event you are not the correct

NC (Pully/Mebane Property)
Dear Mr. Marshall Gill,
This letter is to let you know of our permit application with the N. C. Division of Coastal
Management to install riprap beneath an existing deck that is located adjacent to our house at
2341 Old US Highway, Columbia, NC. Our property line runs along Old US 64, Columbia, on the
south side with the Little Alligator River on the west side of our property which makes us
directly across the Little Alligator River from the DOT landing. The purpose of the riprap is to
stabilize about 40 feet of shoreline beneath an existing deck. Attached is a drawing of the area
with the proposed riprap location marked in red.
If you have objections, you should contact the N. C. Division of Coastal Management at 252-
946-6481. In the mean time I would appreciate your signing and returning the attached form.
The 15 foot setback waiver does not apply in this case. In the event you are not the correct
party for this notice, please let me know to whom this should be sent.
