HomeMy WebLinkAboutSB_17-14_ CecilSunset Beach Local Government :J9 SB-17-14 Permit Number as authorized by the State of North Carolina, Department of Environmental Quality and the Coastal Resources Commission for development in an area of environment concern pursuant to Section 113A-118 of the General Statutes, "Coastal Area Management' Issued to Michael and Karen Cecil, authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEC) at 1406 Bay Street, in Sunset Beach, Brunswick County as requested in the permittee's application, dated June 27,2017, and received by the Town on June 28, 2017. This permit, issued on July 12, 2017, is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void. This permit authorizes: Installation of an outdoor lift as an addition to the front deck. (1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted site drawing dated received by the Town on June 28, 2017. (2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other local, State and Federal regulations, applicable local building and zoning ordinances and NFIP Flood Regulations. (3) Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evaluation and modification of this permit. (4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 910-579-6297 for a final inspection at completion of work. (Additional Permit Conditions on Page 2) This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or project modification not covered under this permit, require further written permit approval. All work must cease when this permit expires on; December 31, 2020 In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consistent with the local Land Use Plan and all applicable ordinances. Any deviations from the approved plans and specifications must be noted on the Certification and a permit modification may be required prior to receiving a CO. (7) The landowner or permittee shall at all times provide the operation and maintenance necessary to assure the permitted stormwater system functions at optimum efficiency. The landowner or permittee shall maintain the permitted stormwater system for the life of the project. (8) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective sedimentation and erosion control measures. Disturbed areas shall be vegetated and stabilized (planted and mulched) within 14 days of construction completion. (9) Any proposed grading within the 30' buffer from the Normal High Water level must be contoured to prevent additional stormwater runoff to the adjacent marsh and/or canal. This area shall be immediately vegetatively stabilized, and must remain in a vegetated state. (10) With exception of a wooden walkway/stairs and 200 sq. ft. or less of elevated slatted uncovered wood decking, no other development is authorized within 30 feet of the normal high water line. (11) Pursuant to 15A NCAC, Subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may not be assigned, transferred, sold or otherwise disposed of to a third -party. (12) Projects shall not increase stormwater runoff to adjacent estuarine and public trust waters. (13) Prior to any development, silt fence shall be properly installed between all planned land disturbance and the adjacent marsh, open water areas, and adjacent properties; the silt fence shall be property maintained throughout the construction period, Silt fence shall be installed such that it is properly toed -in to the soil.
