Issued to The Pointe, LI_C authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEC) at 1800 Village Point Road, i
Shallotte, Brunswick County as requested in the permittee's application, dated February 15, 2017, and received by DCP
on February 16, 2017. This permit, issued on March 6, 2017, is subject to compliance with the application and drawin
dated and received by DCM on February 23, 2017 (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations an
special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fin(
imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
This permit authorizes: Construction of a covered deck and bandstand over existing gravel parking lot for an existing
commercial building.
(1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted site drawing date
received by DCM on February 23, 2017.
(2) Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, and/or land use activities will require re-evaluation ar
modification of this permit.
(3) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site throughout the construction process. Contact this office at (91(
796-77424 for a final inspection at completion of work.

This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons
within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. This permit must be on the project
site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for
compliance. Any maintenance work or project modification not covered under
this permit, require further written permit approval. All work must cease when this
permit expires on:
December 31, 2020
In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consistent with the local Land
Use Plan and all applicable ordinances. This permit may not be transferred to
another party without the written approval of the Division of Coastal
Management.

(4) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective
sedimentation and erosion control measures. Disturbed areas shall be vegetated and stabilized (planted and
mulched) within 14 days of construction completion.
(5) The amount of impervious surface shall not exceed 30% of the lot area within 75 feet of Normal High Water, in this
case, 2900 square feet is authorized over the existing impervious area of the gravel parking lot.
(6) Unless specifically allowed in 15A NCAC 07H. 0209(d)(10), and shown on the permitted plan drawing, all
development/construction shall be located a distance of 30 feet landward Normal High Water. No portion of the roof
overhang shall encroach into the 30 ft. buffer.
(7) This permit does not authorize development within any wetlands or open water areas.
(8) All buildings shall comply with the NC Building Code, including the Coastal and Flood Plain Construction Standards
of the N. C. Building Code, and the Local Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance as required by the National Flood
Insurance Program. If any provisions of the building code or a flood damage prevention ordinance are inconsistent
with any of the following AEC standards, the more restrictive provision shall control.
(9) Pursuant to 15A NCAC, Subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may not be assigned, transferred, sold or otherwise
disposed of to a third -party.
NOTE: All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other local, State and Federal
regulations, applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations.

In 1974, the North Carolina General Assembly passed the Coastal Area Management Act
(CAMA) and set the stage for guiding development in fragile and productive areas that
border the state's sounds and oceanfront. Along with requiring special care by those who
build and develop, the General Assembly directed the Coastal Resources Commission
(CRC) to implement clear regulations that minimize the burden on the applicant.
This application for a minor development permit under CAMA is part of the
Commission's effort to meet the spirit and intent of the General Assembly. It has been
designed to be straightforward and require no more time or effort than necessary from
the applicant. Please go over this folder with the Local Permit Officer (LPO) for the
locality in which you plan to build to be certain that you understand what information he
or she needs before you apply.
Under CAMA regulations, the minor permit is to be issued within 25 days once a
complete application is in hand. Often less time is needed if the project is simple. The
process generally takes about 18 days. You can speed the approval process by making
certain that your application is complete and signed, that your drawing meets the
specifications given inside and that your application fee is attached.
Other permits are sometimes required for development in the coastal area. While these
are not CAMA-related, we urge you to check with the Local Permit Officer to determine
which of these you may need. A list is included on page two of this folder.

mailing address is 1800 Village Point Road, Shallotte, NC 28470, hereinafter whether one or more,
referred to as "GRANTEE":

THAT the Grantor, for a valuable consideration paid by the Grantee, the receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, has and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the
Grantee in fee simple, all of that certain lot or parcel of land situated in Shallotte Township, Brunswick
County, North Carolina, and more particularly described as follows:

DATED AUGUST 12, 2005, ENTITLED " MAP OF SURVEY FOR ALLISON B.
HUGHES ET. ALS.", SAID MAP BEING DULY RECORDED IN MAP CABINET
33 AT PAGE 186, IN THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTER OF DEEDS FOR
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA.
SUBJECT TO easements, rights -of -way and restrictions of record, all
governmental land use statutes, ordinances and regulations, including
zoning, subdivision and building regulations, and ad valorem property
taxes for 2005 and subsequent years.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid lot or parcel of land, and all privileges and
appurtenances thereto belonging to the Grantee, their heirs, successors and assigns of the Grantee in fee
simple forever, subject to the taxes, easements and restrictions set out or referred herein.

AND the Grantor covenants with the Grantee that Grantor is seized of the premises in fee
simple, has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that title is marketable and free and clear of all
encumbrances, and that Grantor will warrant and defend the title against the lawful claims of all persons
whomsoever, subject to the following exceptions: utility easements of record; restrictive covenants of
record; and the lien for 2005 ad valorem property taxes.
