To Whom It May Concern,
This letter of consent is provided to satisfy the requirements of the CAMA Major Permit application for
providing written authorization for material placement within an approximate 1.4 acre site at 916 WB
McLean Drive (Hwy 24) in Cape Carteret. As an agent for the underlying property owner, I authorize
Carteret County (County) to use the parcel for material placement pertaining to the County's maintenance
dredging of Old Ferry Channel and Deer Creek.
However, due to existing utilities, trucks entering or exiting the property shall only be allowed to access
along Lejeune Road. No vehicles shall enter or exit the property from Bayshore Drive or Highway 24 and
all construction activities shall maintain a minimum 100-ft buffer from the Bayshore Drive edge of
pavement.
Use of the site is conditional on the County installing biodegradable wattles developed by Green Recycling
Solutions as an alternative, or in addition to any necessary silt fencing required for erosion control at this
material placement site, or any placement site affiliated with the Holz family name or Manatee Investments
Limited Partnership.
Please note, prior to material placement occurring, a formal agreement between the County and Manatee
Investments Limited Partnership will be needed to document each party's responsibilities and expectations.
The agreement will provide the terms and conditions of the project along with the anticipated duration.
