To Whom It May Concern,
This letter of consent is provided to satisfy the requirements of the CAMA Major Permit application for
providing written authorization for material placement and use of a boat ramp at 312 Live Oak Drive in
Cape Carteret. As the underlying property owner, I authorize Carteret County (County) to place spoil
material from the Deer Creek & Old Ferry Channel maintenance dredging and use the boat ramp on the
property. Spoil placement may occur on the properties addressed as 312, 314, and 324 Live Oak Drive and
shown as Lots 21, 22, 23, 24 and south on that plat of Bayshore Park of record in Map Book 5, Page 65 in
the Carteret County Registry. The County may also use the private boat ramp located on 312 and 314 Live
Oak Drive, which may also be referred to as 324 Live Oak Drive, and shown as Lot 23 and 24 on the
referenced plat of Bayshore Park.
Please note, prior to material placement occurring, a formal agreement between the County and property
owner will be needed to document each parry's responsibilities and expectations. The agreement will
provide the terms and conditions of the project along with the anticipated duration.
Use of the ramp is limited to spoils which will be deposited on the properties specifically referenced herein,
along with 307 Bayshore Drive (McLean Holding Limited Partnership property), and 916 WB McLean
Boulevard (Manatee Investments Limited Partnership property).
In addition, use of the site is conditional on the County installing biodegradable wattles developed by Green
Recycling Solutions as an alternative, or in addition to any necessary silt fencing required for erosion
control at the material placement sites referenced above, or any site affiliated with the Holz family name or
Manatee Investments Limited Partnership.
