The proposed project consists of placing the beach quality material dredged from East Taylors Creek (CAMA Permit # 32-20)
on the southeastern shoreline of Radio Island to provide protection to Marine Dr, Town infrastructure, and public beach
access.

Describe the proposed construction methodology, types of construction equipment to be used during construction, the number of each type
of equipment and where it is to be stored.
The proposed project will transport the beach quality material from East Taylors Creek to the Radio Island placement site. If
material is mechanically excavated from East Taylors Creek, the material will be transported by bardge to Radio Island and
placed mechanically on the shoreline from the waterside, If a hydraulic cutter suction dredge is utilized, the material will be
pumped into a DMCA constructed on Radio Island, then mechanically placed on Radio Island from the landside by
dumptruck. Placement and grading activities on the beach would incolve the use of bulldozers to redistribute and grade the
beach fill material to the proposed beach profile. Land -based equipment will also be utilized to construct the DMCA as
proposed in the plan set.

will return to the waters of the state within the dredging area as the excavated material is placed on the floating barges for
transport. If Hydraulic Cutter Suction Dredge utilized, clarified effluent will be returned to waters through the DMCA
clarification area outfall.
