This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available

Comments: There was a certified letter in my mail box that I did NOT sign
for, nor did anyone else at my home. The letter was from Shoreline Marine
Construction in Newport. I have tried to call them and gotten only a voice
mail. I have left two messages. I have called your office at 252.808.2808
and left messages. I am having the postal service find out who signed for
this letter, as I do not adequately have time to look into this request. I am
an essential worker during this time and do not have time to deal with this.

Please verify the sum of the proposed platform length plus setbacks as depicted in the drawing will meet
the amount of linear feet between riparian lines Although the shoreline may curve adding linear feet to the
length of shoreline, we need to verify the straight line across between riparian access lines at the
waterward end has enough space to accommodate this proposal. Also verify the water depths for the
extra length past 200'.

The Division received your facsimile (fax) dated 5/13/2020 in regards to your concerns and objection to the proposed
dock project at 247 Live Oak Road in Newport, Carteret County. In the fax correspondence, you stated that you do not
agree to waive the 15' setback from the shared riparian access line and that you do not want any part of the proposed
docking facility to be any closer to your property, which would be the shared line of riparian access.
Your concerns and objection are noted and the Division will carefully consider this upon receipt of Mr. William F.
Honaker, Jr.'s, the property owner of 247 Live Oak Road, application for a CAMA permit for a proposed dock or dock
modifications as the case may be.

Hope this finds you doing well.
The Division is in receipt of your objection to the proposed development at 247 Live Oak Road in Newport, Carteret
County. However, the Division has not received this application for development at this time and staff are not aware of
such application, including knowledge of the type of development being proposed. This is common as most applicants
will do the notification process prior to making application to the Division since notification of the adjacent riparian
property owners is required before an application for a CAMA permit can be accepted as complete.
Pending the Division should receive this proposal in the near future, could you please state what your specific concerns
are with this proposed development? Your objections and concerns over a proposed development are considered in
making a CAMA permit decision. This information could assist the Division staff in reviewing the application for
consistency with the Coastal Resource Commission's rules and the Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA).
