In the fax correspondence, you stated that you do not agree to waive the 15' setback from the shared riparian access line and that you do not want any part of the proposed docking facility to be any closer to your property, which would be the shared line of riparian access. Ms. Hobbs, Hope this finds you doing well. The Division is in receipt of your objection to the proposed development at 247 Live Oak Road in Newport, Carteret County. However, the Division has not received this application for development at this time and staff are not aware of such application, including knowledge of the type of development being proposed. This is common as most applicants will do the notification process prior to making application to the Division since notification of the adjacent riparian property owners is required before an application for a CAMA permit can be accepted as complete. Pending the Division should receive this proposal in the near future, could you please state what your specific concerns are with this proposed development? Your objections and concerns over a proposed development are considered in making a CAMA permit decision. This information could assist the Division staff in reviewing the application for consistency with the Coastal Resource Commission's rules and the Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA).
