He was not able to dredge because he was sick.We have found someone else who can operate the excavator and it should only take one day,as long as there are no breakdowns. We can start tomorrow on February 15, 2022.We would like an extension from February 15-17,2022. As with many projects on the Albemarle Mr. Carawan applies for and receives a dredging permit as close to the moratorium date as possible to insure the ability to use the man-made basin throughout the crabbing and fishing season. Unfortunately this year the equipment operator became very sick and has been unable to come to work due to illness. Mr. Carawan has located another equipment operator who said he could start the job tomorrow if he could be granted relief from the moratorium. I'll attach his letter of request and respond to him with your comments.
