Per our recent discussions, please see the attached documents for our request for a general permit
approval. This request for a general permit is for a proposed dredge to the area adjoining the existing
boat ramp(Federal Point BAA /2515 S. Fort Fisher Blvd, Kure Beach, NC) and existing channel.
Attached with this application are the following items:
• Dredge Plan
• Notification Documentation indicating adjacent property owners were notified(or attempts)
• Receipt for Transfer of Funds($400 Application Fee)
Dredging will take place within the limits of the previously approved major permit and will involve

Hey Michael,
Thanks for the conversation today. Per our discussion:
• NCWRC is interested in performing a maintenance dredge at the Federal Point BAA located at 2515 S. Fort Fisher
Blvd. We have had complaints from the general public in regards to shoaling at the ramp and in the existing
boat channel.
• We are interested in performing a maintenance dredge to remove approximate 350 CY of material from the
channel.
• We would like to request the ability to use the existing dredge spoil site adjacent to the NCDOT ferry terminal as
outlined on Sheet CD-2.4(Federal Point—Dredge Plans). Note we used this spoil site during the 2009-2010
renovation at the Federal Point Ramp. NCWRC would be responsible for silt fence and sedimentation/erosion
control measures during the activity.
Please let me know if you have any comments/concerns related to this activity.
If you don't have any objections,could you fill out page 2 (Notification Documents/Adjacent Riparian Property Owner
Statement) indicating you have no objections to this proposal?
