Tomlinson, Jr, Chairman The Coastal Resources Commission (CRC) met in Wilmington on October 23- Courtney T. Hackney 24, 2002 and considered the request from the Town of Oriental that it delegate Vice Chairman planning authority to the Town to develop an individual land use plan. Alton Ballance Upon finding that Oriental has adopted and is enforcing zoning and subdivision E. Bob Barnes ordinances and is enforcing the State Building Code regulations within its David A. The Town of Oriental does have a zoning ordinance (Growth Management Ordinance) and a subdivision ordinance. Both ordinances are enforced by theTown. All building inspections in the Town are performed by the Pamlico County building inspector. 'I'o the best of my knowledge, all State Building Code regulations are enforced. WHEREAS; The Town of Oriental has elected to prepare a Workbook Land Use Plan, in accordance with 15A NCAC 7B and 15A NCAC 7L; and WHEREAS; the North Carolina DENR/DCM shall provide a template/manual to assist the Town in preparation of the Workbook Land Use Plan; and WHEREAS; the North Carolina DENR/DCM shall assist the Town in producing a Land Suitability Analysis by preparing environmental composite and land suitability maps with input from the Town; and WHEREAS; the Town shall provide one camera-ready copy of the locally adopted Workbook Land Use Plan to DENR/DCM for certification by the Coastal Resources Commission (CRC) or an electronic copy prepared in WORD software; and WHEREAS; DENR/DCM shall reproduce ten copies of the certified Workbook Land Use Plan for use by the Town. THEREFORE, the signatures of both parties signify that this agreement shall be in effect for twelve months, or for a longer period if extended by mutual agreement. DATE: DATE: Donna D.
