I am reaching out to you based upon a referral from Ryan Davenport. A few months back Ryan met with one of our employees who also happens to be a former CAMA staff employee. Ryan met with Mark Hardeman concerning the possibility of my sister and I installing two boat lifts behind my sister's home located at 4708 San Juan Circle in Morehead City, NC. I am finally getting around to submitting to you the Adjoining Land Owner Notification forms I was able to secure along with a drawing of where we would like to install these two lifts. You will see from the attached drawing that my sister already has two boat lifts in place and two vacant boat slips behind her home. Our plan is to remove one of the old boat lifts due to it's condition and install a new one in its place reusing the existing pilings if the contractor we settle on determines they are reusable. If not we will need to have up to four new pilings installed where the current old lift is located. At the other location shown on the attached drawing we will need four new pilings installed before a second new lift can be installed. While we have the contractor we chose on site we would like to have them also remove a large tree log that was left by Hurricane Florence laying against her existing seawall. The log is embedded in the mud and is going to require some effort to get it removed. It is approximately (7 to 8) feet long and is approximately 28 inches across at it largest diameter. At times it is sticking out of the water and is very unsightly. Having never submitted a request before for a General Construction Permit with your agency I am certain I will need your guidance on the next steps I need to take to move forward.
