It is our understanding that the pier will be substantially longer than the other piers on the street, and we do not want
to contend with the navigational hazard if we can avoid it. The 15' setback is not a major issue for us as 2911 Evans
St(our property) is East of the 2915 and is not being imposed upon.

My family received notification today of a letter that was sent to 2911 Evans St. dated 12/8/21. 1 have since called the
252-808-2808, where I left this message: We do not wish to waive the 15' setback. I have attached the notification with
our objection filled out. It is our intention to mail this letter today as well.

Since they are adhering to the riparian setback requirements, and not exceeding the 200ft limit, we have no legitimate
objection.
Personally I hate covered piers, but there are a few on Evans's Street. From my porch the majority of the structure will
be behind trees.
I tried to reach out to the Seegars (neighbors on the opposite side of the Gennon's) to make sure they were aware of the
project, but I'm not sure if they actually received the letter.
Did they reply with any objections?

I have looked this over and it appears to be consistent with the LAMA general permit criteria as long as they meet the
15' setbacks to the riparian lines and do not exceed the 200' 1 discussed with the contractor. If you have objections to

The email I am forwarding is from the agent for the Glennons at 2915 Evan Street in Morehead City. Based on the CAMA
rules that I have read, they are within their rights to build this pier.
Does the design represented below meet CAMA regulations? This designed and mailed prior to any options I could
present.
I do think it is a bit old that the person who complained about her view being obstructed wants to build a covered pier,
that obstructs her view.

That being said, we might be able to work-out an agreement with the Glennons. I am preparing a design which will
include both piers, with expressed limitations, dimensions, and structures.

Ms. Styron,
On 12/8/21, my mother and co -property owner Carol Blake Baldwin received the attached Adjacent Riparian Property
Owner Notification Waiver Form from the property owners agent. Based on the design presented along with this
form we have objections to the proposed project and we do not waive our right to the 15ft setback requirement.
We object to the project for the following reasons:
1.The proposed pier is less than the 15ft setback as required. Per the design the request would place the pier 5ft
from the Riparian Property line.
a.The Proposed pier has a boat lift and outer piling that are represented to be 10' to 15' across the
Riparian Property line.
2.The Overall length of the pier which the design details the decking to be 215" plus room for an addition boat slip
at the end of the full length of the pier.
a.The Additional outer pilings are on the plan, but not measured. Based on scale the outer most boat slip
could be as wide as 30ft. Making to total pier length as much as 245ft long
b. Average pier length in the area is —200ft. The proposed pier would be —25% longer than area piers
and would create a navigational hazard.
3.The property, 2915 Evans Street has —70 feet of shoreline, more than enough room to build the proposed pier
entirely within the required Riparian Setback.
For these reasons we object to the proposed project and we do not waive our right to the 15ft setback requirement.

groin must be set back a minimum distance of 15' from my area of riparian access unless waived by me
(this does not apply to bulkheads or riprap revetments). (If you wish to waive the setback, you must sign
