Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application and permit conditions. Any violation of these terms may
subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for
compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that: 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this
permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the
local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement from the adjacent riparian property owner(s)
has been obtained, or proof of delivery of certified mail notification of the adjacent riparian property owner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.
River Basin Rules Applicable To Your Project:

Subject: Straits Landing Boating Access Area (BAA) Dredge
General Permit Approval Request
Mr. Davenport,
Per our recent discussions, please see the attached documents for our request for a general permit
approval. This request for a general permit is for a proposed dredge to the area adjoining the existing
boat ramp (Straits Landing BAA / 1648 Harkers Island Road, Straits, NC) and existing channel out to
the intercoastal waterway. Attached with this application are the following items:
• Dredge Plan
• Notification Documentation indicating adjacent property owners were notified (or attempts)
• Receipt for Transfer of Funds ($400 Application Fee)
Dredging will take place within the limits of the previously approved major permit and will involve
less than 1,000 cubic yards of dredge material being removed. Please let me know if you need any

ADDENDUM TO TELEWORK AGREEMENT
Other conditions, restrictions, plans or agreements made relating to this Teleworking
Agreement:
Conditions for Teleworkine Agreement:
1. Field staff will continue to return phone calls, messages, and emails within 1
business day.
2. Major permit applications shall be processed for the District Manager's review
within 10 days upon accepting as complete.
3. Work vehicles must be returned to the office unless there is a need for early
departure or late return and is approved by the Manager.
4. Communication with the District Manager shall be maintained and emails or
phone calls to staff from the District Manager. or Director will be returned as soon
as practical during the same workday.
Staff currently using Flex Leave will have the options of continuing Flex Leave with
no telework days; or teleworking up to one day per week upon approval by the
District Manager and the Director.
6. Field Reps must be available to report to the office on a designated telework day
as needed for work related matters or other reasons as determined by the District
Manager or Director unless the staff is on leave on that day or time.
7. Field Reps using teleworking that demonstrate the inability to maintain work
productivity as described above, or who misuse the telework agreement, or
demonstrate inconsistent internal and external communications, or if the District
Manager receives repeated number of complaints from customers regarding lack
of communication or responses to phone calls, emails, or messages, or
untimeliness in processing permits, may be subject to immediate termination of
this Teleworking Agreement.
