Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application and permit conditions. Any violation of these terms may
subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for
compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that: 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this
permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the
local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement from the adjacent riparian property owner(s)
has been obtained, or proof of delivery of certified mail notification of the adjacent riparian property owner(s).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Please find attached copies of the necessary documentation to request a GP 2700 for
installation of 30 linear feet of offshore sill at the above referenced property. The following is

• Adjacent Riparian Owner of 2692 Lennoxville Rd did not waive setback
As the setback was not waived at 2692 Lennoxville Rd, the offshore sill will be constructed
within 25 feet of normal high water within the 15-foot set back on the northern end of the
applicant's property.

Project Description
An offshore sill is proposed to be
constructed at 2691 Lennoxville
Road, Beaufort, NC, as shown to the
left and below. The total length of the
offshore sill will be approximately 30
linear feet and will begin at the end
of the existing rip rap sill.
The offshore sill will be constructed
by layering oyster shell bags or
QuickReefTM units perpendicular to
the shoreline as shown on Figure 2.
The location will be no more than 30
feet waterward of normal high water
and no more than 5 feet waterward
of existing coastal wetlands,
whichever is further. All other
applicable specific and general
conditions outlined at 15A NCAC
07H.2700 .will be met.
