RE: Proposed Storm Drain Project on Bay St
Dear Sir or Madam,
The City of Southport is interested in installing a storm drain outlet that would alleviate a
flooding issue on Bay St. There is an existing storm drain located on Bay St that
connects to an existing storm drain on Howe St. See the attached exhibit. The proposed
work would consist of the construction of a new storm drain and junction box (in red).
The length of the storm drain pipe will be 145 ft. The existing storm drain (blue) on Bay
St will be directed into the new storm drain instead of the Howe St storm drain./�1
yellow "X" will be where the pipe will be abandoned to permanently separate The Howe
St storm drain from the proposed storm drain.
CAMA regulations require notice of proposed development to the Adjacent Riparian
Property Owners. The purpose of this notice is to make adjacent riparian property
owners aware of the proposed development so that they have an opportunity to provide
comments to the proposed development, and to give DCM an opportunity to consider
these comments. Attached is the Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification/Waiver
