The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is requesting the issuance of a GP
.1700 for the stabilization of the bank adjacent the northeast side of Bridge no. 17, the HWY 343
crossing of Areneuse Creek in Camden County, Shilo, North Carolina. Approximately 50' of bank
will be stabilized with a class B or larger granite riprap within the rightaway for HWY 343. I am
available to meet with you to stake the alignment per the attached drawing and obtain the necessary
CAMA General permit.
Included with this letter are the location map, permit drawing, MP-1 and MP-2 forms and proof of
adjacent property owner notification. If you have any questions, please contact me at (252) 402-
