Brunswick County Parks received a request from Southport Chamber to hold the U.S. Open King Mackerel Tournament and weigh-in at Dutchman Creek Park. Please find attached aerial photos and proposal for the tournament.Staff is requesting for this temporary permit; I will need the adjacent Riparian Property owners'statement approval with the application to get an determination on the permit. If you have any questions or concerns, please give me a call at 910-253-2676. Barge- 12'X 40' Aluminum ramps—12" wide x 70' long Ramps will not be in place the entire time. They will only be placed out for 3 days and roped off when not in use. The Barge will be spudded down starting 9/29 and leaving 10/3/2021. There will be 3' of water under the barge at low tide. It will not sit on the bottom so that the barge is level for safety reasons and CAMA regulations.
