As per our earlier conversation,we would like to obtain an exemption permit for Ronald and Sarah
Seawell, located at 444 Causeway Drive to replace their 10' x 16'sundeck, 10'x 8'access to gazebo and
12' x 14'gazebo with associated 2' catwalk along the front that was damaged or destroyed by Hurricane
Florence. All structures will be constructed in the exact same footprint as what was previously existing.
We would also like to install an additional load of granite rip rap over the existing rip rap in the same
exact footprint. The existing stone has withstood numerous storms over the years and could use some
additional stone cap on top of what is existing in order to reinforce future security and stability.The
owners have decided to proceed with creating the least amount of disturbance by strengthening what is
already existing instead of removing the existing rip rap in order to install the bulkhead. I have attached
the previous permit for the bulkhead that was issued along with an overhead of the project.
