As you know, Hurricane Bonnie left a large pile of sand and other debris in the canal
where my dock use to be. We are considering replacing the dock and getting some of the sand
scooped out when the other people on the canal have their excess sand removed. I am therefore
requesting that you sign the enclosed letter to me which states that you have no objections to my
removing the sand along my sea wall and out into the middle of the canal. If you do have
objections or any questions, please contact Ms. Janet Russell at North Carolina Coastal Area
