MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD:
1. Proposed dock in Banks Channel, Topsail Beach, Pender County,
for Ronnie Bryant. Surveying by Mark Padgett, plat faxed by Mr.
Padgett to me.
2. Howard Varnum stated that the depth of the Banks Channel
project is 7 feet. Therefore, the setback will be 37 feet.
(7 ft +2 ft overdepth =9 ft. 9 ft x3 -27 ft +10 ft =37 ft. )
3. Mr. Padgett's survey shows that the pier ends 39.6 feet from
near edge of channel. As this is farther than the necessary 37
foot setback, this proposal will not adversely affect Federal
mainenance of the channel.
