Dear Mr. Goss,
I have just purchased the Ruth Clifton property next to yours. We
now have to begin work on repairing the seawall that was washed out from the
last hurricane. In the process ofdoing this Iwould like to possibly put
in a boat ramp on the river side and build a pier out from the house across
the wall into the New River, so that my wife and I can fish from there.
I talked to the Division of Coastal Management and they told me that I should
let you know of the work that needs to be done and of the improvments that
we will be making to the property. When we are finished with everything the
place is going to be much better and I hope hurricane proof.
I am looking forward to meeting you some day and possibly going fishing
together or just a good cookout at the house.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Cowdrey,
As you now know my wife and::1 - #ave, purchased the Ruth Clifton place.
We are going to have to do a lot-of-Work on the seawall and all and as I
have contacted the people in Wilmington Division of Coastal Management,
they explained to me that I would need to let you know that I intend to
rebuild part of the seawall that washed out and I should like to build a
pier out on the river side of the house out from the deck side of the house.
I may possibly put in a boat ramp too, but that is not a positive yet as
we have to work around time and finances. We intend to really improve the
whole landscape and help prevent any more.damage that the hurricanes can
do to the area.
We are really looking forward to getting to know everyone there and
enjoying the fishing and relaxation of the area.
