The revised script which we received yesterday has similar scenes involving use of the area. Some items have changed with the two most notable being that we will not be building any structures on the top of Buchanan Battery and second, we want to film a controlled explosion. The following is a br6akdown of the dates and times of our intended work. On Tuesday, April 28th, we would begin our work in and around the parking area furthest away from the boat ramps. We should begin filming around noon or shortly afterwards and will work into the night. We should be finished each night by no later than 2:00 AM. One scene would involve using the mound at Buchanan Battery, but would only be used in a way that would pose no harm to the mound or grounds. We would be placing lights and camera equipment around the area, and will most likely be using a couple of Condors(60'boom cranes for lighting)at night. We will take extra precaution as always to stay off of protected grounds and vegetation when placement of our equipment is decided. We will be using the New Hanover County Sheriffs Department for traffic and crowd control. On Wednesday night, our work will involve filming a controlled explosion of a small travel trailer. This would be done on the flat part of the parking lot. We are currently in the process of obtaining the proper permits from the New Hanover County Fire Marshall, and from other agencies associated with pyrotechnics within the county. We again will have the New Hanover Sheriffs Department present to aide with traffic and crowd control. I have included a diagram to help illustrate our plans.
